Aerotronics Inc., was founded in 1962 in Billings Montana and for 46 uninterrupted years has been dedicated to providing consistent top-notch service to all of their customers. With extraordinary attention to details and dedication to their customers’ satisfaction the company has thrived and today is comprised of a staff of 23 people, a state-of-the-art facility on Billings Logan International Airport with affiliate facilities in Missoula Montana and Redding California.
MILESTONES IN OUR COMPANY'S HISTORY

1962 Aerotronics is started in a garage by two energetic people!
1964 Incorporated in the State of Montana and relocated to Billings Logan International Airport.
1975 Purchased and remodeled 6000 square foot hangar on flight line in Billings.
1977 Began support of Big Sky Airlines, a regional airline which is successfully operating and expanding today.
1979 Opened branch avionics company in Missoula, Montana.
1989 Opened an affiliate avionics company in Redding, California.
1992 Expanded headquarters with a 60'X100' hangar and 60'X20' office space.
1996 First to introduce a "Plug and Play" experimental panel with our AERO-PLUS program at Oshkosh and Arlington air shows
1997 Expanded the introduction of our unique "Plug and Play" experimental panels at Mesa Arizona, Denver Colorado, and California air shows with the introduction of modular style panels.
2001 Introduced newly designed 'AERO and AEROPLUS' molded fiberglass instrument panels for Stoddard Hamilton, Lancair and various experimental aircraft.
2001 Beginning a new century with 23 support staff members and expanding capabilities for service and customer support.
2002 Introduced new installation wiring procedures for the RV series aircraft that eased the removal and installation of the panels for the customers.
2002 Featured in Kitplanes Magazine for experimental panels.
2003 Completed the factory demo panel for New Glasair.
2004 Implemented the new highly accurate CNC cutting machine for consistent panel cuts and reproduction.
2004 Completed staff certification required for service and sales of the new Chelton Flight Display systems.
2004 Created the second factory demo panel for New Glasair.
2005 Martin Elshire retires after 38 years of dedication to the aviation industry.
2005 Completed staff certification required for service and sales of the new Garmin GX 900 multifunctional PDF/MFD system.
2006 Established new installation methods for use of laminate carbon fiber on aluminum panels in the fabrication of "Plug and Play' experimental panels.

2006 Provided even more professional panel finish by purchasing a new commercial labeling machine.

2006 Selected by Garmin International as a Dealer Council representative
2006 Employees donated $450.00 for the Flakesgiving Thanksgiving dinner for the less fortunate. Aerotronics matched the donation for a total of $900.00 or 50 dinners.
2007 Aerotronics registers the first G-900 panel installation with Garmin.
2007 Completed staff certification required for service and sales Avidyne PDF/MFD system.
2007 Aerotronics performs the first installation verification of the first G900 panel.
2007 Aerotronics expands its current capabilities by performing panel retrofits of existing experimental aircraft.
2007 Aerotronics purchases additional hangar space to further accommodate the retrofits of experimental aircraft.
2007 Aerotronics announces the support for all of its customers who had lost their payments to D2A.
2007 Aerotronics employees donated $1067.00 for the Flakesgiving Thanksgiving dinner for the less fortunate. Aerotronics matched the donation for a total of $2134.00 or 133 dinners.
2007 Remodeled avionics display area with new glass display cases and better offering of pilot supplies
2008 Began EAA program presentations for Sun & Fun and Oshkosh forums on Avionics and installations in experimental aircraft.
